Mount Howard is a peak situated in the Wallowa Mountains of Northeast Oregon, in the United States. It has an elevation of 8,256 feet (2,516 meters) above sea level and is located in the Wallowa-Whitman National Forest. The peak is accessible through the Wallowa Lake Tramway, a gondola lift that takes visitors to the top of the mountain. The Wallowa Lake Tramway is the steepest four-passenger aerial tramway in North America, providing visitors with stunning views of the surrounding mountains and valleys. At the top of Mount Howard, there is a viewing platform, a restaurant, and hiking trails that lead to other peaks and lakes in the area. The Wallowa Mountains are known for their dramatic scenery, with deep canyons, alpine lakes, and towering peaks.
